This stand is designed to be printed from two materials. PETG for the base provides strength and TPU inserts offer flexibility to secure the tire. Its intended to support a road bike with 700mm x 20mm tires. This remix of the original design has proven to be more effective. After using it outside in direct sunlight for over a year, the TPU no longer held the weight of the bike properly. This new design uses a PETG base for better support while still utilizing TPU inserts to trap the wheel. The inserts are designed with a tab that catches on the base to prevent removal. Since this stand works so well, I plan to incorporate a similar idea into my mountain bike stand. Look forward to that project coming soon!
