Got 15mm miniatures mounted on pennies but need a base for games that require them? Here's a solution. Print these bases off and have some fun! They're perfect for your collection of 15mm figures, just like the pile of miniatures you have. Print Settings: Printer Brand: LulzBot Printer: TAZ 5 Rafts: Yes Supports: Doesn't Matter Resolution: .200 mm Infill: 10% to 20% This is a basic tray for your 15mm figures mounted on US pennies. The holes are 20mm in diameter, and 1.5mm deep. I designed it to fit six of them onto a base that's 50mm x 65mm, matching the Battlefront Flames of War standard infantry bases for my penny-based infantry. I used black ABS plastic, but feel free to experiment with other materials. Just be cautious when using PLA due to its low melting point and potential exposure to hot temperatures in vehicles. Post-Printing: Have fun and prime your new base! Add your favorite terrain to suit your miniature collection, and don't forget to share pictures of your masterpiece! How I Designed This: I based the size of the base on the Flames of War standard base and added six 20mm holes halfway through the thickness of the material printed to accommodate US pennies. This design allows me to switch out my infantry equipment for FOW/TY games, remove individual casualties for other games like Gruntz 15mm or Dirtside II/Stargrunt II, or use them for skirmish games on penny bases with a non-permanent base option. I used DesignSpark Mechanical to create this item, and I've uploaded the original file format for anyone who wants to tweak it to their liking (perhaps for coin and base sizes exceeding or less than 20mm in diameter).
