Note: Updated on 1/5 at 3pm, fine-tuned the wheel's circumference to avoid interference with the printer frame. This is a thumb bed leveler designed for the PRUSA Mk3. Based on an excellent article detailing how to achieve superior leveling for your PRUSA MK3, this solution offers a better approach than relying on auto leveling functions. The article discusses sourcing parts from Amazon, but I opted to utilize my 3D printer instead. To create these components, I printed them in ABS, which is suitable for use near the heated bed. Included are: 1. A 4.5mm thick thumb wheel that doesn't require a separate nut; the ABS serves as an effective substitute. 2. A 4.5mm thick hex nut for situations where a thumb wheel won't fit. 3. A 0.5mm thick tool to facilitate the initial leveling process. Additional components include: - A thumb wheel compatible with a hex 3mm nut (for those who prefer nylon). - A thumb wheel designed for square 3mm nuts (as an added option). Important notes: The PRUSA printer's spacers are 5mm thick, while the thumb wheel and tool are 4.5mm and 0.5mm thick, respectively. To ensure a smooth setup process, thread a 3mm screw through all components before attaching them to the bed.
