3mm filament's v2 Infill 3D Bowden Geared Extruder with new bolt
thingiverse
I dislike Bowden extruders since my first Ultimaker, where every morning I found a broken PLA rod and had to disassemble the extruder. It was frustrating work, but it had to be done for the toolchanger. My hobby bolts from back then are poorly suited to driving thick, hard filaments. However, replacing a hobby bolt with a new one made from an 8mm bolt on a lathe is easy and fixes the issue. This took me an hour because I'm not skilled at turning. I haven't adjusted my settings yet. If you can't sharpen the new hobby bolt, take a 5mm bolt and a new gear 47. Then, fix it in gear47 any way possible: a shift, nail, or Grover washer. Drive the gear like this: https://www.ebay.com/itm/MK8-MK7-Drive-Gear-for-1-75-3mm-Filament-3D-Printer-Extruder-Pulley-5mm-Shaft/222907632708?hash=item33e6548c44:m:mNbrtpxb6sn7pD8l_GrN4rA I think my gear is for 1.75mm filament. I used a quick release from https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2789583. Here's a test video: https://youtu.be/SBd4bSMrrNs
