I've been using the original clip on various spools, but it only fits some of my early ones. I have a large collection of clips from Makergeeks and other sources, yet they don't fit well with those newer spools. The frustration grew, so I decided to adjust it myself because the old clips kept falling off the newer spools. I've tested these clips on several types of spools: * Newer spools from Makergeeks * Three different kinds of Chinese-imported spool types * Older MatterHacker spools * Older FormFutura spools These clips do not fit or hold well on: * Some older Makergeeks spools - it seems they used multiple suppliers a few years ago * Newer MatterHacker spools * Newer FormFutura spools * T-Glase small reels However, the clip can be made to fit newer MatterHacker spools by extending the locking tab. The rim thickness is the same as Makergeeks' spools, so this modification should be relatively easy.
