This model is ideal for modeling purposes or if you prefer using filament instead of screws. If you utilize 3mm filament for tasks other than extrusion, it needs to be confined. The kit comes with snugly fitting ends and rings designed to accommodate 3mm filament in larger holes or secure it outside smaller ones without requiring much cleanup. Among the tapered ring, the best option for holding is available. Although these tapered versions don't taper significantly, they can assist in self-centering. The package includes a plate of 12 tapered rings (3mmringtapered12.stl). These rings work best when extracted from a heated bed. However, you may break up to three while peeling them off and another three when pressing filament into them. Sliding down the filament is easy with these rings, but their flared ends require some force to attach them onto the filament. For permanent use, gluing is recommended.
