3M exhaust filter. Insert your filter material inside against the honeycomb and then slide this part over the 3M 6000 series exhaust vent. It works well on 6200 (medium) and 6300 (large). This design may fit other 3M respirators exhaust vents, but has not been tested yet. This design allows it to be oriented in any of four possible ways and will fit over the exhaust vent perfectly. It's easy to attach and detach, yet secure enough to prevent it from falling off easily. Cleaning is a breeze; just remove it and submerge it in sanitizer or cleaner. This filter is also small enough not to affect intake filters attached on the sides of respirators (3M P100 and P95). The holes enable this part to be secured to the mask with cable ties, twist ties, etc., but are not needed in regular use. The holes provide a method for attaching/aligning a moisture deflector cover to protect the filter material (not yet designed) with pegs, glue, or cable ties, etc.
