3M 6000 Mask/Filter Cover

<p>This is a protective lid/cover for the 3M 6000 series filters.</p><p>These filter clean the air you breathe when wearing the mask. The problem is that when not wearing the mask the filters ‘actively’ suck in dirty air. The result is that when you store the mask/filter for prolonged periods of time the filters will continually filter the air around it. Since the filters have limited filter capacity before they run out/become unusable, this is undesirable.</p><p>The solution are these filter covers. Simply print these out of any standard material (I used PLA) and click them on the filters. There is about ~4mm of clearance between the filter and lid. You can fill this room with a soft material like foam of felt, this increases the ‘air tightness’ of the lid.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>Note: This cover is meant for storing the mask i.e. when the filter is connected to the mask, when storing the filter without mask there is still the hole for the bajonet coupling to close.</p>
