3M 2000 series filter cover

Objectives: Print a protective shield using PLA, my only available material from my first 3D printer. The shield will extend the life of a 3M 2091/2097 filter and be easy to clean with wipes, requiring no glue for assembly. V1: I designed a dome-shaped shield, but it required too much support during printing, resulting in an unsatisfactory outcome. If interested, view my design on Tinkercad at https://www.tinkercad.com/things/0G2iPEdutNi. V2.1: My second version had a heavy top cover that took too long to print, but the bridging worked well. However, I encountered issues with the bottom covers' holes, which posed risks of exposure. To address this, I experimented with another design that reduced weight, but it became too weak. V2.2: In my third version, I successfully reduced the weight on both top and bottom covers, eliminated holes from the bottom covers, and added chamfered edges for smoother release from the printing plate. This version meets my requirements and can be tried by others who are interested. Printing Note: For optimal results when printing the top cover, use the "concentric" option in the Top/Bottom Pattern to facilitate bridging. Design Credit: I drew inspiration for this design from jlmaoju's work on Thingiverse at https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4227006.
