The blade was redesigned to accommodate the new weapon system as well; both CAD variations are posted.Omni Seven is a 3-wheeled holonomic drive vertical spinner similar in concept to Ominous on Battlebots.Omni Seven v1 competed at BCRC's inaugural Bell Brawls, taking 3rd place and winning 50% of its matches. Its drive proved to be amazingly reliable and robust, but it suffered massive electrical issues that compromised its weapon and SRiMech, costing it the undefeated semifinal and elimination final matches. Also, its titanium armor was effective against direct impacts but was mounted improperly and easily ripped off. It also greatly limited the reach of the vertical spinner weapon.Omni Seven v2 attempts to resolve all of the issues present in v1. Its improved weapon assembly uses a 4-part billet aluminum hub motor to transfer torque into a 5.5" diameter AR600 weapon disc, creating more space in the chassis for electronics compared to the first version which used a pulley drive. The chassis also directly integrates into the titanium wedge, which is bent to better protect the delicate exposed wheels. Omni Seven v2 also runs on 6s rather than 4s, doubling the weapon power. The new 4130 ears assist the hub motor weapon in self-righting the robot as well.
