Some quick info on adding a capacitive sensor to a 3KU K3000 3D printer. In order to use the probe, a small amp circuit is required. This circuit boosts the 5V RAMPS signal to 9 volts and amplifies the probe sense signal up to approximately 4.6 volts. Soldering this up on a proto board is relatively straightforward.
