Designed to complement SchmidtN's Modular Table Vice, both provide the same part offset and spacing options, making them interchangeable as well as complimentary. This tensioning vice adds a crucial functionality by allowing you to adjust the grip force of the device after installation without requiring any additional tools or components. This unique feature allows users to achieve higher holding forces compared to standard vices that rely on external clamps or fasteners for increased grip strength. To assemble this table vice, position it on a 1 inch x 1 inch grid of #6 holes. Secure the tensioning slide with two 3/4 inch #10 screw and nut combos. To operate: First, print either the Vice alone, or optionally along with the Tensioning Slide, both designs functioning separately as standalone units. Install the device onto your work surface by fastening it down with two #6 screws. You will also need to secure the optional tensioning slide using another set of 3/4 inch #10 screw and nut combos. Recommendations: Print this vice in ABS for improved flexibility, though PLA should yield similar results despite its reduced durability. Opt for a high infill percentage for enhanced strength and reliability. Assembly instructions: Insert the two halves of the table vice together, aligning them precisely via the integrated #6 hole slots. Use 3/4 inch #10 screw and nut combos to secure the tensioner slide in place. Make sure the nut drops neatly into its printed slot. To attach the Tensioning Slide, press it firmly into the pre-drilled alignment grooves on top of the vice until the first mounting screw can bite securely into it.
