This project started off as an exterior way to house a Doepfer A-190-3 MIDI to CV module for my modular synth, whose case is rapidly running out of space. However, once I finished the 3HP enclosure, I made a 4HP enclosure to hold a spare VCA. And now, I'm thinking about how these individual modules could be connected together with a bracket system, in order to construct a super cheap modular synth rack(or a very compact synth made up of only 1HP modules.Stay tuned for updates on that, as I intend to do some experimentation in the coming days. The cases are designed to be printed without supports. I'm using 20% infill and a .2 layer height on mine. The screw holes are made just small enough that regular Eurorack-sized screws should self-thread into them at that layer height. The cases are 100mm deep, so some very long modules may not fit. A vast majority of modules are half that depth or less, but 100mm seemed to give the best tradeoff between length and stability, as Eurorack modules can be very front heavy.
