Introducing an improved Cooling Duct for Makerbot Replicator 2X (May 5, 2014). It allows printing without supports and features a snap-on design for easy assembly. Updated extruders (Revision 5) are compatible with custom PTFE lined feed tubes and heat sinks, ensuring compatibility with various filaments including ABS, PLA, Teflon, FilaFLex, and Nijaflex. Newly added spacer tubes can be downloaded for use, but at your own risk. The latest edition includes an optional cooling tube that cools the area behind fans, preventing mushy filament. This design also simplifies maintenance by featuring a snap-fit onto the carriage, eliminating the need for screws, even when attaching the fan. Printing the duct with a logo on the heater block and the cooling tube vertically further enhances this innovative design. ;)
