The Presidential Office announced today (2015/11/6) that we have prepared a handmade ceramic gift, a "Taiwan Blue Magpie," as a present for Chinese leader Xi Jinping. According to the Presidential Office, the Taiwan Blue Magpie is a species unique to Taiwan and is commonly referred to as the Long Tail Mountain Maiden. In low-altitude mountainous areas, one can often see the beautiful image of the Taiwan Blue Magpie. The products of Jade Artworks are mostly based on the theme of "Taiwanese Images and Chinese Culture Integration." Their works have been adopted by the Presidential Office and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs as gifts for visiting dignitaries. The work measures 31 cm in length, 28 cm in width, and 53 cm in height, weighing approximately 2.7 kg.
