#3DTakoTuesday : The Mood Octopus

myminifactory

Meet 3DTakoTuesday, a stackable and adorable octopus that comes in various expressive eye styles to match your mood. The word "Tako" originates from Japanese, meaning octopus. I created this design to hone my Fusion 360 skills and improve my abilities. Feel free to show appreciation for my work by donating or supporting me as I continue to learn and grow. The main body parts of the octopus are designed without supports, allowing you to print them easily without needing a multi-colored printer. Some eyes will utilize the filament change technique, which involves pausing the print at a specific layer height, then swapping the filament before resuming. This can be achieved with: PrusaSlicer using color change Cura by going to Extensions > Post processing > Modify G-code > Add a script > filament change Prusa's ColorPrint webapp (G-code is supported from Slic3r, Cura, KISSlicer and Simplify3D.) MAIN PARTS 3dtakotuesday.body.0.mm_clearance.mm.stl - This is the main octopus body, with clearance determining additional space for holes in eyes and lips. The amount of clearance depends on your printer's calibration accuracy (too small a value might not allow lips/eyes to fit into body, while too large will make them fit loosely). 3dtakotuesday.bottom.mm.stl - This is the underside of the octopus's tentacles. 3dtakotuesday.lips.mm.stl - This is the octopus's lips part. The file orientation should not require a brim, but feel free to use one if you encounter bed adhesion issues. 3dtakotuesday.top.mm.stl - This is the top of the octopus's head.
