The mount itself serves as a simple platform designed specifically for securing an ASUS 3D scanner onto a Surface 3 Pro. To further enhance the adaptability of this mount, its clip width can be adjusted, thereby seamlessly accommodating other tablets or laptop PCs. Following extensive research and purchasing a comprehensive 3D scanning kit equipped with a touchscreen and 3D printed case, the user realized that their initial requirements weren't as vast as anticipated due to limitations presented by their Surface Pro's USB capabilities. Ultimately, by strategically positioning the scanner directly onto the Surface Pro, it proved significantly more usable. Now, when necessary, the scanner is conveniently attached to the PC, and Skanect software is used to complete tasks at hand.
