3DS Game Case Twist Lock
thingiverse
I grabbed smarts' "SD & Micro SD Card Holder" and fell head over heels in love with it, so I wanted to give it a complete makeover for 3DS games. But let me be clear, this isn't just an edited version of his design - I started from scratch and created this file entirely on my own. This case can hold up to 23 games at a time. Keep in mind that you may need to do some cleaning up after printing, depending on your settings. As for my latest prints, I highly recommend the following: use whatever infill pattern you like, skip the supports altogether - they're a real pain to get out of the locking tunnel, and it turns out much better without them. Also, be sure to print with the strengthened lid file and elongated tunnel file, as this greatly reduces the chance of the lid coming loose if the case gets dropped. Plus, I've found that the strengthened fillet is virtually indestructible. To make things even easier, I've uploaded a new base file that's just a hollow space, without any slots for games. 9/4 Update: I created a Twist Lock case that can hold an astonishing 45 Nintendo Switch games! I'm currently printing out my first one and will post a photo as soon as it's complete! 9/7 Update: I've started working on a brand new project - the Switch Game Case.
