3DRAG peristaltic pump extruder

Peristaltic pump extruder for 3DRAG printer. The peristaltic pump is optimized for a silicone tube with a diameter of 3.5 mm. The tube's diameter can be modified within the parametric openScad files. A standard deliverable pipette tip tube is provided with the extruder. Note that an O-ring is inserted between the two printed parts (named ..ugello) to prevent leakages. Three 100 ohm resistors are placed in series instead of a thermistor, allowing software to read a temperature of approximately 200 °C. No special settings are required in the slicer; only adjusting the filament diameter and the nozzle diameter (i.e., the hole in the pipette tip) is necessary for configuration. If the motor rotates in the wrong direction, simply invert two wires. The extruder can easily draw a 4 wt% alginates solution. In the movie, an alginate solution stained with a die is pipetted inside a calcium chloride solution to initiate gelification. This project was designed by Adelia De Santo for her thesis at RadChemLab, University of Pavia (Italy). https://youtu.be/e5Y5iUAPeoo
