3DR Solo prop guard
thingiverse
Propeller guards for the 3DR Solo, print with a full infill of 100%. Print upside down, using support structures that angle more than 70 degrees, and remove any remaining support properly after printing. The top and bottom dimensions have a gap of just 0.4mm from the Solo itself, so be careful not to overtighten or you may break some layers during assembly. The clamp only fits one way - with the lid on the left when viewed from above the motor. It can be tough to remove the clamp, but try inserting a small flathead screwdriver into the gap and it should spring right off. I've also added a v2.5 version (200 x 200) that should print just fine on a 200 x 200 bed size. Print Settings: Printer Brand: Ultimaker Printer: Ultimaker 2 Supports: Yes Resolution: 0.1 mm Infill: 100% Notes: It's highly recommended to print in PETG, and I used PETG from www.real-filament.com with great results. Printing in PLA comes with a high risk of layer breakage - so try it at your own risk! If you get good results with other filaments, please share your experience in the comments.
