3DR Openbuilds Carriage

3DR Openbuilds Carriage

I'm currently building Richraps' amazing Delta printer and wanted to move away from using linear rails to instead utilize the V-slot channel from Openbuilds for smooth travel along with GT2 belts. My plan was to design a versatile carriage that integrates arm mounting, hall effect sensor mounting, mini v wheel plate mounting, and even adds a belt tension mechanism into one single unit. Big thanks to everyone who contributed valuable sources: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:438109, http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:327862, http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:471978. After spending some quality time tinkering with the design on Tinkercad, I came up with this innovative system - enjoy! I made an important edit to increase the clearance in the belt groove and brought the hall effect sensor as far up as possible. Feel free to provide your thoughts or share your experience of using this system.
