Designing the Pinch Style Mechanism to Accommodate Varying Wood Tolerances and Flexibility. To achieve this, I incorporated a few key features: a filament stowage hole that provides a convenient storage solution; rounded edges that enhance both strength and flexibility; an offset design that avoids interference with shelf brackets; and reel stops that prevent the mechanism from over-rotating. I created these components using Tinkercad.
