3DPI Awards 2017 Trophy Challenge
myminifactory
I'm going for updated_r2 now, as some parts have been tweaked and tolerances adjusted. Additionally, gluing non-moving parts together should work better. I decided to take on this challenge at the last minute, so printing it hasn't happened yet. Designing is complete, and it seems slicable. The deadline was April 28th, 2017, and I submitted it on that date, so hopefully, I'll be part of it. I'm hoping it will work; for now, it's been spinning in my head and untested. Still, I believe it will function! I started with paper and pen for initial ideas, then moved to a 3D sketch in Tinkercad using basic primitives. After that, I designed this completely in Fusion360. It threw objects into different orientations, so I used Blender to align them properly on the plate and reset their rotations. Have fun!
