This is my entry for the 3DPI award design challenge. The design incorporates different elements of 3D printing; the cube, often used to symbolize three dimensions, has exaggerated layers which link to the universal 3D printing principle: building up successive layers to form a 3D object. The hollow structure inside the cube symbolizes the ability for 3D printers to produce complicated lattice-like structures. Faceted features of the figure, inspired by "stl" 3D files, the blueprint for a 3D printer, add depth and dimension to the design. The figure lifts the symbol of 3D printing, symbolizing that together with technology, exceptional humans make the future of 3D printing possible.
