I invested four concepts into this idea: 1. Egg shape, one of the perfect forms on Earth. The egg is the start, also an object that represents the continuation of life (think back to your first Rep-Rap). Also, this subject contains a not always well-known organism hidden under its shell (remember your first Rep-Rap and look at it now). 2. A tree. A tree is a very philosophical subject. You can find many justifications for it. Just like 3D printing has roots, stems, branches, and fruits. Sometimes in the branches you can get lost. Also on a tree you can build a house. 3. Transparency. 3D printing is a pretty clear thing, and I want this technology to be transparent and open. 4. Small details at an angle. I wanted to show rain. Rain that refreshes and absorbs dry soil. Rain as change.
