3DLab Lipo bay in Lipo bay P47
thingiverse
The P47 from 3DLab boasts a remarkably spacious square Lipo bay situated directly beneath its nose. However, newer Lipos no longer require this expansive space and can be quite tricky to secure properly, often necessitating additional foam or materials for stability. This custom-printed frame is specifically designed to accommodate 2200 lipos, measuring 107 x 24 x 34 in size. To install the lipo, simply insert it into the inner frame, securing it firmly with a clamp before sliding the entire assembly into the Lipo bay from above. Automatic securing occurs thanks to two bolts, making it effortless to unplug when needed – merely press the two round pads and gently pull. Charging becomes an uncomplicated process as well. Due to the frame's weight, some lead can be removed for added convenience. The motor used is a 3530, boasting a 1100kv rating and compatible with 2200 Lipo cells. This innovative design is exclusively tailored for the P47 from 3DLab, with future iterations planned for other models as well. When printing the clamp, use a nozzle width of 0.4 but adjust the width setting to 0.3, applying two perimeter layers at 40% infill. To enhance fitting within the bay, increase the STL's X and Y dimensions by 1mm, taking into account your printer's specific width.
