3DFused linear rail + Hero Me Gen5 + BMG + direct drive
thingiverse
This is a conglomeration of the SpeedDrive direct drive mount, the 3DFused linear rail mount, and the Hero Me Gen5 system (has the original Ender 3 mount points). It requires a pancake stepper (the StepperOnline one is what I used), as well as a BMG or clone. I use it with the Mosquito HMG5 base and the 3DFused linear rail kit, but I imagine it would work with any MGN12 rail since it screws into the carriage itself. With this layout, you don't lose any X space, and with the Y endstop positioned correctly, no Y space either. You will absolutely need supports to print, which is a little unfortunate but ultimately necessary. Print it laying on its face (with the wire "tongs" facing up) for strength and minimal supports. You'll need three M3 heat-set inserts for the Hero Me mounting holes. I can't get the Remix links to work correctly, so here's the list: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4179624 https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3990436
