3DFused Linear Rail Belt Clamp - Remix

<p>I smashed together the improved belt clamp by Brigandier and the belt retention mechanism for the x-carriage of a Prusa i3 MK3S+ by Prusa Research. ~~I'm a bit concerned about the belts falling out over time, but so far it has not been an issue. Perhaps a plate bolted to the bottom to retain the belt would be worthwhile. Use at your own risk!~~ This has been fixed with the latest revision.</p> <p><strong>3DFused-Belt-Clamp.stl</strong> - This is my latest version, and I believe it to be the best. It requires cutting the belt that came with the 3DFused kit, but it constrains the belt in the part by sandwiching the belt between the printed part and the bottom of the Y carriage. It does require slightly longer M3 screws than come with the kit. There is a single-layer bridge across the screw holes that will need to be removed -- pushing a screw through it worked fine for me.</p> <p><strong>improved-belt-clamp-v2.stl</strong> - I made this so that I could re-use the stock belt that came with my Ender 3. There's little pockets to tuck the belt retention clips inside, plus teeth to hold the belt tight. I am personally using this version, and it works great.</p> <p>I printed the part out of ASA to make sure it would not deform due to the heat of the bed. 4 perimiters, 40% cubic infill.</p> Category: 3D Printer Parts
