"3Deck" of Poker cards for blind people
thingiverse
I am designing a custom "3Deck" of Poker cards tailored for visually impaired individuals. As it turns out, none of the available decks cater specifically to this requirement or leverage 3D printing and embossing techniques. Finding suitable methods that align with my Cube 3 printer took time, but I was eventually able to incorporate two colors into my prints. My chosen layer height was 70 microns, a detail which I've become quite familiar with through experimentation. As an amateur designer, Autodesk 123D Design has posed significant challenges for me thus far. Nonetheless, it's been instrumental in helping shape my "3Deck" concept. Edit: Following extensive design refinement and development work over the past couple of days, I have now completed my custom deck. At present, these files are fairly substantial; however, this is something I'm looking to rectify shortly with revised versions weighing less on system resources. If any problems arise when printing the cards or there are difficulties related to print settings within your 3D printer configuration (for instance issues pertaining to Cube 3 and 70micron layer heights), please let me know promptly so we can discuss and troubleshoot potential solutions. Edit: Additional archive files incorporating all of the card types I designed specifically for the "hearts" set have now been added in standard DXF file format.
