3Dconnexion Space Navigator Case
thingiverse
I designed multiple space navigator cases, but each had a critical flaw: insufficient USB port accessibility and an awkward design that made it hard to insert the device into its holder. Frustrated with these compromises, I decided to create a better solution. My new case features a top lid that can be easily opened to remove the space navigator, eliminating clutter and making it simple to access the device. To return the space navigator to its place, one need only open both lids, guide the USB cord through the case, slide the device into its holder, close the top lid, flip the case over, insert the cord, and secure the bottom lid. Don't be misled by the images - I intentionally avoided adding a gasket between the lids and the case to keep costs down. Instead, I opted for a two-tone printing design that sets this case apart from others.
