Here i come with my final modification of the 3Dator Bowden Extruder. Derived from my previous version (i2), you can find it here: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1679553. I've uploaded all my mounts for every version of the extruder to this link: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2027391. Developed specifically for high-speed prints, I created this design after breaking a few small fittings when trying to print fast with a 0.3mm nozzle. The excessive pressure on M5/M6 fittings made them prone to failure, but M10 or R1/8 fittings are significantly stronger. I've had success mounting the larger fitting inside, but only with a custom-made nut (16x13x4mm). Unfortunately, DIN557 nuts are too large, so you'll need to create that custom nut if you want this version. Changes include: * Redesigning the fitting mount again for M10 or R1/8 fittings * Both fittings can be mounted in an M10 nut * A new flexible holder reduces noise and vibrations * The holder and tightener are back compatible with all versions of the extruder * Two variations of the base plate, depending on how you install the bowden tube: + One variant includes an additional hole inside for mounting the tube through the fitting (you'll need a lathe to modify the fitting). This way, the end of the tube is inside the baseplate, not inside the fitting, as shown in the image. This is probably my last remix of this extruder design. I'm happy with it now and don't see any options for further evolution. I'm currently working on my own extruder project, featuring double MK8 gears (both driven) for ultimate grip and a 1:3 gearbox. Print Settings: * Printer: The monstrous steel beast without a name * Supports: Yes * Resolution: 0.15 * Infill: 30% * Notes: + Use support only for the tightener. + Print the extruder in ABS and the holder in PET(G). + Honeycomb infill is recommended. + Print the baseplate with layers between 0.1-0.15mm
