3D Workspace & Axis Comprehension Tool
thingiverse
I'm developing a tool in Orchard for my classes to reinforce understanding of the 3D workspace. It shows the relationship between the origin point and positive/negative grid locations. The Grid 3D model has 1cm spacing. RGB settings are used for axis colors: X, Y, Z. Check out the Orchard link below if you want to demonstrate this in a class or use it for something else: https://3dorchard.com/app/cad/5dfd7e49933f1e0b7bc68a94/?sceneInitialized=true The bottom of the grid plane can be raised on Z as one element, and since it's triangular, line thickness can be made very thin. Some pieces are floating a bit, so supports are needed if you print it. It's more of a visual aid.
With this file you will be able to print 3D Workspace & Axis Comprehension Tool with your 3D printer. Click on the button and save the file on your computer to work, edit or customize your design. You can also find more 3D designs for printers on 3D Workspace & Axis Comprehension Tool.
