A single piece of material, typically flat and rectangular in shape, serves as the exposed and visible covering for a wall. This wall panel functions both practically and aesthetically, providing insulation and soundproofing while offering uniformity of appearance along with some level of durability or replaceability. Although there is no predetermined size limit for such a piece of material, experts suggest that the maximum practical size for wall panels is 24 inches by 8 feet to facilitate transportation. Using wall panels can significantly reduce construction costs by providing a consistent panelled surface without requiring paint or any other finishing materials. Panels may be finished on one side only if they are going against a brick or concrete wall, and holes can be cut into the panel for electrical outlets and devices. Alternatively, assembled panels can substitute for traditional walls entirely. A new type of eco-friendly 3D wall panel is made from sugarcane residue fibers. These fibers are extracted from shredded sugarcane stalks after raw sugar extraction. This material, called bagasse, serves as the base for this easily installed product. The raw material used in these panels is 100% recycled and compostable, making it 100% biodegradable. Proper installation of prefabricated brick wall panels is critical to prevent mold and water damage to underlying structural materials resulting from inadequate sealage.
