A wall panel is a single, self-contained piece of material that serves as the exposed covering for a wall. Typically flat and rectangular in shape, wall panels are both functional and decorative, offering insulation, soundproofing, uniform appearance, and durability or ease of replaceability. While there is no set size limit for a wall panel, its maximum practical size has been suggested to be 24 inches by 8 feet to facilitate transportation. The use of wall panels can significantly reduce construction costs by providing a consistent appearance to the panelled surface without requiring paint or another finishing material. Wall panels may be finished on only one side if they will be installed against a brick or concrete wall, and holes can be cut or drilled into them to accommodate electrical outlets and other devices. A new type of eco-friendly 3D wall panel is now available, made from the fibrous residue of sugarcane. This material, called bagasse, is formed from crushed sugarcane stalks that remain after raw sugar is extracted from their juice. The bagasse used to make these 3D wall panels is 100% recycled, compostable, and biodegradable. Proper installation of prefabricated brick wall panels is crucial because inadequate sealage can lead to massive risks of mold and water damage to underlying structural materials.
