3D Touch v3.2 Cover

3D Touch v3.2 Cover I took inspiration from many designs, but ended up building this one from scratch. It is designed around using this mount: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4077548 on my stock hot-end Ender 5 Pro. This is one of the primary ones I used: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4588361, although it was for a BL Touch and did not fit my 3D Touch. I had a couple of items on my "wish" list for thuis design. I did not like the "press fit" approach that most other covers used. I felt like I could damage the sensor trying to install/remove the cover. I also did not want it too loose, as I was worried that over time it might loosen and fall off (mid-print, knowing my luck). So I built in a set screw at the top middle of the cover lip that extended to the top of the mount. The mount I used was 5mm thick, so I have the center of the set screw 2.5mm down from the top. I used a 1.5mm hole with a 3mm diameter inset. The idea was not so much to screw it in as it was to give it a catch point so that it would not slide off. I marked a point on the mount and drilled a 1.5mm hole, then threaded the cover hole with a 2mm screw and that holds it in place perfectly for me. I was going to drill a 2mm hole in the mount, but ended up with a 1.5, either way would work. You only really need 1 to be threaded, either the mount or the cover, you don't need both threaded for this purpose. Or if you are fine with just a snug fit hold, then no screw needed, the cover should still stay in place, but I would just not recommend it. The design is calculation driven, so it can be customized, but I did hide most of the variables from the Customizer as those hidden variables were more about fit and placement than about "options". Those variables are all relatively self-explanatory if you want to crack open the included scad file and modify it for your own use. mount screw cutout = 0 - 6 This is the notch on either side of the top of the cover to make room for the top "pedestal" of the sensor and mount screws that attach to the sensor mount on the hot end. I mounted mine with the screw heads underneath and nuts on the top of hte mount. So a combination of the top of the sensor + the screw heads came in around 4mm. Yours may be different. Set it to 0 for no notch. led mount = true/false I added an angled LED holder that points a 5mm LED towards the print head. That is optional to include or not in the final render holes = hex/round/none holes dia = 1 - 6 I also added the ability to use round, hex or no holes at all in the sides and to make those holes variable in size, from 1 up to 6 mm, although anything above 3 cannot guarantee to center 100% properly
