3D Tetris Parametric Puzzle
thingiverse
This creation was sparked by an original idea: 707024 but it's been rewritten entirely from scratch using a completely different approach. Additionally, new features have been incorporated, such as the ability to add layers so 3D puzzles can be crafted with ease. The number of blocks and layers is limited only by the amount of available memory on your computer. The following parameters can be set by the user: size, referring to the unit dimensions of the basic block; gaps; radius; box thickness; number of rows; number of columns; and number of layers. Shapes can also be easily configured using coordinates, allowing you to design your own puzzle with precision. For further details, see the source SCAD file. Instructions: STL example files are provided for 7x9x1 and 5x6x2 dimensions. Scad files are included so that you can create your own custom design. Please refer to the instructions inside the SCAD file to learn how to define your own unique shaped blocks. STL files designed with multiple layers may require an additional step for separating individual parts before printing them. The box to contain all parts together is automatically generated based on your specified dimensions and design. Two identical halves fit perfectly to keep your components secure from being misplaced, and I used a simple elastic band to keep them closed. Printed using 3 bottom and top layers, 25% infill, and no supports were applied.
