The Skanect + OpenNI2 Drivers combo is a fantastic pairing, but I grew weary of constantly adjusting for their rotational disparity. This 0.20" (5.2mm) plexiglass solution makes quick work of the issue. The Sense scanner chassis holds everything in place with strong double-sided tape; disassembly requires caution and a spreader. Its special glass is supposedly IR-limiting, but my tests suggest it's not necessary. I left it on the original chassis intact. The individual component placement on the actual Sense board is somewhat off, so you'll need to drill through the open holes in the circuit board, then through the aluminum to reach the nut on the other side of the acrylic.
