3D Shadow - Tree 65

How many times have you struggled to get a realistic-looking flat shadow in your design? How often did you try to extract a shadow from an object, only to fall short? Shadows can be notoriously difficult to manipulate because they're not solid objects. That's why we've created 100% transparent shadows with Ambient Occlusion - to make your work easier. Whether you're a designer, cartoon artist, visual effects specialist, compositor or 3D artist, our shadows are designed to help you add depth and realism to your scenes. They contain everything you need to create a convincing look for your project. Our images were captured at 2000x2000 pixels with 16-bit depth per channel to prevent banding. We then cropped them to reduce file size and fit the content ratio. Shadows were taken from multiple angles - 25°, 45° and straight on - and we saved two versions of each shadow: a hard version for sunny scenes and a soft version for cloudy scenes. These shadows are perfect for use in 2D and 3D projects and come with the added bonus of being noiseless. Simply choose the shadow that suits your design, apply it to your object and then use any deformer tool - like Photoshop's Transform tool or After Effects' Corner Pin effect - to deform the shadow. (Video tutorials are available for reference.) Feel free to mix and match between hard and soft shadows as needed, depending on the lighting conditions in your scene. And remember, a shadow is just that - it won't change.
