How often do you reach for a separate flat shadow while working on your design to make it look more lifelike? How many times have you attempted to extract a shadow from a real object, only to fall short? Shadows can be challenging to manipulate because they aren't solid objects. We've got the solution! Our team has created 100% transparent shadows with Ambient Occlusion added to simplify your workflow. Whether you're a designer, cartoon artist, visual effects artist, compositor, or 3D artist who needs to add a shadow to your scene, these are for you and easy to use. They contain everything you need to achieve a realistic look for your project. Images were originally rendered at 2000×2000 pixels with 16-bit depth per channel to prevent banding. To reduce file size and fit the content ratio, they were cropped. Shadows were captured from different angles - 25°, 45°, and from above in multiple directions. We saved two versions of each shadow: one is a hard shadow used in sunny scenes, while the other is a soft shadow used in cloudy scenes. These are excellent for use in both 2D and 3D projects and are noiseless. Choose which shadow suits your design and apply it to the object. Then, simply use any deformer tool like the "Transform" tool in Photoshop or the "Corner Pin" effect in After Effects, or the equivalent in any other software to deform the shadow. (Video tutorials are attached.) Note: You can mix between hard and soft shadows as you see fit, depending on the light conditions of your scene. Finally, a shadow is a shadow and will never change.
