How many times have you struggled to create a realistic shadow in your design? How often did you wish you could extract a convincing shadow from a real object, only to be disappointed by the results? Shadows can be notoriously tricky to manipulate, and that's because they aren't solid objects. Here's the solution: we've created 100% transparent shadows with ambient occlusion built-in to make your job easier. Whether you're a designer, cartoon artist, visual effects artist, compositor, or 3D artist in need of a shadow for your scene, these are for you and easy to use - they contain everything you need to achieve a realistic look for your project. The images were originally rendered at 2000x2000 pixels with 16-bit depth per channel to prevent banding. We then cropped them to reduce the file size and fit the content ratio. Shadows were captured from different angles, including 25°, 45°, and straight on from above, in multiple directions. We saved two versions of each shadow - one hard shadow for sunny scenes and one soft shadow for cloudy scenes. These are ideal for use in both 2D and 3D projects and are completely noise-free. Simply choose the shadow that best suits your design, apply it to the object, and then use any deformer tool you like - such as the "Transform" tool in Photoshop or the "Corner Pin" effect in After Effects - or its equivalent in any other software to deform the shadow. (Video tutorials are included.) You can mix and match hard and soft shadows to suit your scene's lighting conditions. And remember, a shadow is just that - it will never change.
