3D Shadow - Product 43

How often do you need a perfectly separated flat shadow while designing to make it look more realistic? How many times have you tried extracting a shadow from an object and failed? Shadows are notoriously difficult to manipulate because they're not solid objects! Now, we've got the solution! We've created 100% transparent shadows with Ambient Occlusion added to simplify your work. Whether you're a designer, cartoon artist, visual effects specialist, compositor, or even a 3D artist who needs to add a shadow to your scene, these are for you and easy to use - they contain everything you need to create a realistic look for your project. Images were originally rendered at 2000x2000 pixels with 16-bit depth per channel to prevent banding. They were then cropped to reduce the file size and fit the content ratio. Shadows were captured from different angles, including 25°, 45°, and straight-on from above in multiple directions. We saved two versions of each shadow - one is a Hard Shadow for sunny scenes, and the other is a Soft Shadow for cloudy scenes. These are perfect for use in both 2D and 3D projects, and they're completely noiseless. Choose which shadow works best with your design and apply it to the object. Then, simply use any deformer tool like the "Transform" tool in Photoshop or the "Corner Pin" effect in After Effects (or their equivalents in other software) to deform the shadow. Video tutorials are attached. You can mix and match between hard and soft shadows as you see fit - this depends on the lighting conditions of your scene. Remember, a shadow is always just a shadow, and it will never change its nature.
