How many times do designers need a realistic shadow to make their design stand out? How often have artists struggled to extract a convincing shadow from a real object, only to fall short of perfection? Shadows can be tricky to manipulate because they lack substance. But we've got the solution! We've created 100% transparent shadows with Ambient Occlusion to simplify your workflow. Whether you're a designer, cartoon artist, visual effects expert, compositor, or 3D artist in need of adding a shadow to your scene, our shadows are for you and easy to use. They come equipped with everything needed to achieve a realistic look for your project. Images were originally rendered at 2000×2000 pixels with 16-bit depth per channel to prevent banding. To reduce file size and fit the content ratio, we cropped them. Shadows were captured from different angles – 25°, 45°, and straight on – in multiple directions. We saved two versions of each shadow: a hard one for sunny scenes and a soft one for cloudy scenes. These are perfect for use in both 2D and 3D projects, and they're noiseless to boot. Choose the shadow that suits your design best and apply it to the object. Then, simply use any deformer tool like Photoshop's "Transform" or After Effects' "Corner Pin" effect – or their equivalents in other software – to deform the shadow. (Video tutorials are provided.) You can mix and match hard and soft shadows as you see fit, depending on your scene's lighting conditions. Shadows remain consistent, never changing.
