How often do designers need a separate flat shadow to make their designs look more realistic? How many times have they wanted to extract a shadow from a real object, only to fail? Shadows are notoriously difficult to manipulate because they lack solid form. We've found the solution! Our team has created 100% transparent shadows with Ambient occlusion added to simplify your workflow. Whether you're a designer, cartoon artist, visual effects artist, compositor or 3D artist, these shadows are for you and easy to use, containing everything needed to create a realistic look for your project. The images were originally rendered at 2000x2000 pixels with 16-bit depth per channel to prevent banding. They were cropped to reduce file size and fit the content ratio. Shadows were captured from different angles @ 25°, 45°, and from top in multiple directions. Two versions of shadow were saved from each object: a hard shadow for sunny scenes and a soft shadow for cloudy scenes. These shadows are excellent for use in 2D and 3D projects and are noiseless. Choose the shadow that suits your design and apply it to the object. Then, use any deformer tool like the "Transform" tool in Photoshop or the "Corner Pin" effect in After Effects, or the equivalent in any other software to deform the shadow. (Video tutorials are attached.) You can mix between hard and soft shadows as you like, depending on the light conditions of your scene. Shadow is shadow and will never change.
