3D Shadow - Frame 01

How many times have you struggled to achieve a convincing flat shadow while working on your design? How often have you attempted to extract a shadow from a real object, only to fall short? Shadows can be notoriously difficult to manipulate because they lack substance. We've solved this problem with 100% transparent shadows that include Ambient Occlusion to simplify your workflow. Whether you're a designer, cartoon artist, visual effects artist, compositor, or 3D artist in need of adding a shadow to your scene, these tools are designed for you and easy to use. They contain everything necessary to create a realistic look for your project. The images were originally rendered at 2000×2000 pixels with 16-bit depth per channel to prevent banding, then cropped to reduce the file size and maintain the content ratio. Shadows were captured from various angles @ 25°, 45°, and from above in multiple directions; two versions of shadow from each object were saved – one is a Hard Shadow used in sunny scenes, while the other is a Soft Shadow used in cloudy scenes – both are excellent for use in 2D and 3D projects, plus they're noiseless. Choose the shadow that suits your design and apply it to the object; then simply use any deformer tool like the "Transform" tool in Photoshop or the "Corner Pin" effect in After Effects, or its equivalent in any other software to deform the shadow. (Video tutorials are attached.) Note: You can mix between Hard and Soft Shadow as you see fit, depending on the light conditions of your scene. Finally, a shadow is always just that – a shadow – and will never change.
