How many times have you struggled to create a convincing flat shadow in your designs? How often did you try to extract a shadow from a real object, only to be frustrated by the lack of success? Shadows can be notoriously difficult to manipulate, since they aren't solid objects. Here's the solution we've developed - 100% transparent shadows with Ambient Occlusion added to make your work easier. Whether you're a designer, cartoon artist, visual effects artist, compositor, or 3D artist, our transparent shadows are designed for you and easy to use. They contain everything you need to achieve a realistic look in your project. The images used to create these shadows were originally rendered at 2000x2000 pixels with 16-bit depth per channel to prevent banding. We then cropped them to reduce the file size and fit the content ratio. Shadows were captured from different angles - 25°, 45°, and straight on - in multiple directions. For each object, we saved two versions of the shadow: a hard shadow for sunny scenes and a soft shadow for cloudy scenes. These shadows are excellent for use in both 2D and 3D projects and are completely noiseless. To apply our transparent shadows to your design, simply choose the one that suits your needs and use any deformer tool - such as the "Transform" tool in Photoshop or the "Corner Pin" effect in After Effects - to deform the shadow. (Video tutorials are included.) You can mix and match hard and soft shadows as you see fit, depending on the lighting conditions of your scene. Finally, remember that a shadow is just a shadow - it won't change.
