How often do you find yourself in need of a separate flat shadow to make your design look more realistic? How many times have you struggled to extract a shadow from an object only to be left disappointed? Shadows can be notoriously difficult to manipulate because they aren't solid objects, but we've got the solution for you! We've created 100% transparent shadows with Ambient Occlusion added in to simplify your workflow. Whether you're a designer, cartoon artist, visual effects artist, compositor or even a 3D artist looking to add some depth to your scene, our shadows are perfect for you and easy to use. We captured images at 2000x2000 pixels with 16-bit depth per channel to prevent banding, then cropped them to reduce the file size and fit the content ratio. Shadows were taken from different angles - 25°, 45° and directly above - in multiple directions. We saved two versions of each shadow: one hard shadow for use in sunny scenes and one soft shadow for cloudy conditions. These shadows are excellent for both 2D and 3D projects and are completely noise-free. Choose the shadow that best suits your design, apply it to the object, then use a deformer tool like Photoshop's Transform or After Effects' Corner Pin effect (or their equivalents in other software) to deform the shadow. Video tutorials are provided below. You can mix hard and soft shadows as needed, depending on the lighting conditions of your scene. Remember, shadows will never change.
