How often do you need a realistic flat shadow to make your design come alive? How many times have you struggled to extract a believable shadow from a real object, only to fall short? Shadows can be notoriously difficult to manipulate because they are not solid objects. Here's the solution! We've created 100% transparent shadows with Ambient Occlusion built-in to simplify your workflow. Whether you're a designer, cartoon artist, visual effects specialist, compositor, or 3D artist, these shadows are designed for you and easy to use. They contain everything you need to give your project a realistic look. Images were originally rendered at 2000×2000 pixels with 16-bit depth per channel to prevent banding, then cropped to reduce file size and maintain content ratio. Shadows were captured from multiple angles @ 25°, 45°, and straight down in various directions; two versions of shadow were saved for each object: one hard shadow suitable for sunny scenes and another soft shadow ideal for cloudy scenes. These shadows are perfect for use in 2D and 3D projects and are completely noiseless. Simply choose the shadow that best fits your design, apply it to your object, then use any deformer tool like Photoshop's "Transform" or After Effects' "Corner Pin" effect (or equivalent tools in other software) to deform the shadow. Video tutorials are included below for reference. Note: You can mix and match hard and soft shadows as needed, depending on the lighting conditions of your scene. Lastly, remember that a good shadow is essential for creating depth and realism in any design.
