How many times did you need to create a realistic shadow while working on your design? How often did you want to extract a shadow from a real object, but it didn't work out as planned? Shadows can be tricky to manipulate because they aren't solid objects. We have the solution! We've created 100% transparent shadows with Ambient Occlusion added to make them easy to use. Whether you're a designer, cartoon artist, visual effects artist, compositor, or 3D artist, these shadows are for you and will save you time. They contain everything you need to create a realistic look for your project. The images were originally rendered at 2000x2000 pixels with 16-bit depth per channel to prevent banding. They were then cropped to reduce the file size and fit the content ratio. Shadows were captured from different angles - 25°, 45°, and from top in multiple directions. We saved two versions of each shadow: one hard shadow for sunny scenes and one soft shadow for cloudy scenes. These shadows are excellent for use in both 2D and 3D projects and are completely noiseless. Choose the shadow that suits your design and apply it to the object. Then, simply use any deformer tool like the Transform tool in Photoshop or the Corner Pin effect in After Effects, or an equivalent tool in another software to deform the shadow. (Video tutorials are attached.) You can mix between hard and soft shadows as you like, depending on the light conditions of your scene. Finally, a shadow is just that - it will never change.
