3D Screwy
thingiverse
Based on the AvE 'Lil' Screwy', a 3D printable version that's *almost* pocket sized. ***Update [2020/08/22]:*** I added a new bolt that has a hole big enough to support an M8 threaded rod. You need (per bolt) 2 M8 nuts, 2 M8x21mm washers and a length of M8 threaded rod that's 150mm long. This helps mitigate the bolts from snapping in half when you press things with it by having the M8 threaded rod take up the strain instead. I've supplied a 32mm Spanner STL that you can use with the bolts on this, just in case you don't happen to have one laying about... For those who don't know how it works: 1) Get all 4 bolts to the same height, just *barely* applying pressure to whatever your pressing 2) Start turning each of the bolts 1/2 turn or 1/6 turn (depending on how difficult it is to turn them) either in rotation ((counter-)clockwise) or in a sort of X shape 3) This takes a while, by the way... 4) It gives you a good arm workout though... 5) Now you've pressed your thing, so you can start undoing the bolts 6) ???? 7) Profit ***Please note:*** The bolts are prone to snapping in half along one of the threads, which can be mitigated a bit by printing with 100% infill and a lot of walls or by using actual M25 bolts. Either way, you can get a lot of force out of this tiny little press but you might break some bolts in the process. Also, please be careful if you intend to use this for more *destructive* purposes (as shown in the images above), as this can cause pieces of debris to fly out the sides at a really high velocity which *can cause minor injuries and maybe damage things*. *(I take absolutely no responsibility if you happen to damage something or hurt yourself in any way when using this. Please be careful, and also don't put yourself in the line of fire...)*
