3D Scanner Table - Redesign

thingiverse

I completely redesigned the 3D scanner table that this is based on but leveraged original dimensions that this thing is a remix of. The objective was to make it lower profile, sturdy to eliminate flex in the base, and keep it easy to print. My remix also changes out the bearings for standard 24mm roller wheel bearings common to 3D printers that are secured by M5 screws with M5 washers on each side. Here are the three roller wheels I used: https://www.amazon.com/CCTREE-Printer-Plastic-Bearing-Creality/dp/B07DC99DPV Here is the motor and motor driver I used: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B015RQ97W8/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1 Here is the Elegoo Nano board I used: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0713XK923/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1 I am mounting this Nano board in the following 3D printed case which fits on its side and allows access to the pins. https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4626947 I chose a power supply of 9V. I used this wall power supply to make 9V: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B018OLREG4/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1 The barrel jack on the power supply connects to here: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B08CRBGCY3/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o06_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 And I stepped the 9V down to 5V for the motors using this DC to DC converter: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01MQGMOKI/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1 Each side of the motor is secured with an M3x12 screw and M3 washer Each roller wheel are secured with M5x20 screw and M5 washers on either side I ran taps in the holes to cut threads for the screws which worked well. The printed holes are 0.5mm undersized to leave room for the threads to cut into the plastic. I have printed this design and tested with hardware successfully already once and found it to be functional. I was very happy with the performance. I made minor tweaks to enhance printability and reduce print time of which are included in the files here. I am cleaning the wiring up and will post better pics when I finish but so far it all looks very good to me. I've included a step file for the base as well. Enjoy!
